Visual Optimizations (Deprecated)

⚠️ This page is deprecated. The functionality described here has been removed from AseptSoft. It is retained for historical reference only.

🚫 Deprecation Notice

The manual Visual Optimizations feature has been retired. All visual optimization capabilities are now handled automatically by the built-in Color Overrule System, which requires no manual intervention.

If you previously relied on Visual Optimizations, you do not need to take any action — the system now manages all entity coloring in real time, without any commands or manual steps.

🔄 What Replaced It

The Color Overrule System automatically manages entity colors based on the following scopes:

Scope

What It Does

💧 Fluid Stream Coloring

Entities are colored based on the fluid flowing through them (e.g., WFI lines in blue, CIP caustic in orange)

🚦 Item State Coloring

Entities reflect their current valve or instrument state (e.g., open valves in green, closed in red)

🏭 Equipment Module Highlighting

Equipment modules are visually highlighted when selected for easy identification on busy P&IDs

These visual updates happen in real time without any manual intervention.

🧭 Where to Go Instead

For information about the current visual system, refer to:

  • Fluid Flow Coloring — see the fluid flow and stream coloring features in the main documentation

  • Equipment Module Ribbon — the Equipment Module Ribbon provides visual feedback for selected equipment modules

  • States — the State system drives item-level color changes automatically
