AseptSoft integrates with AutoCAD through a series of Ribbon Tabs that appear alongside the native AutoCAD ribbons. Each ribbon appears contextually based on what you are doing — so you always have the right tools at hand without clutter.

🔄 How Ribbons Work Together
A typical workflow moves through these ribbons in sequence:
-
🔌 AddIn Ribbon — Log in, check subscription, configure activation settings
-
🏠 Home Ribbon — Select your branch, create or open a module
-
⚙️ Module Ribbon — Perform all process design work (this is where you spend most of your time)
-
🔧 Equipment Module Ribbon — Appears contextually when you select equipment module items
-
📋 Review Session Ribbon — Open from Module Data to start a collaborative review
Each ribbon is described in detail on its own page.
🏭 Pharma Workflow Example
Imagine you are designing a CIP (Clean-in-Place) sequence for a bioreactor skid:
-
Open your CIP P&ID drawing — the Home Ribbon appears automatically.
-
Select the branch your team is working on, then open the CIP module.
-
The Module Ribbon takes over — define your rinse, wash, and final rinse steps; assign valve states; run fluid flow simulations to verify the cleaning path.
-
Click on the CIP supply pump to view the Equipment Module Ribbon and manage its configuration.
-
When the design is ready, start a Review Session so your process engineer and QA lead can validate every step before release.
