The tabular Equipment Modules export is one of the Excel Tabular Exports, producing a workbook containing all Equipment Modules of the current Module.
:clipboard: Overview
Equipment Modules define the physical valve and instrument configurations for process equipment — such as a CIP skid, a WFI distribution panel, or a product transfer manifold. Each Equipment Module contains a set of engineering items (valves, instruments) and their states across multiple configurations (e.g., "CIP Supply", "CIP Return", "Isolated").
Exporting these configurations to Excel lets you review, adjust, or share valve state matrices with your engineering and validation teams outside of the drawing environment.
:page_facing_up: Worksheets
Each Equipment Module is exported as its own worksheet. The worksheet name is the Equipment Module name.
:bar_chart: Columns
Each worksheet contains the following columns:
|
Column |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Name |
The Engineering Item name (dominant column — used for row matching) |
|
Configuration columns |
One column per Configuration (e.g., "CIP Supply", "CIP Return", "Isolated") |

A CIP skid Equipment Module "EM-CIP-SKID-01" might export as follows, showing valve positions for each cleaning configuration:
|
Name |

This matrix gives the validation team a clear picture of every valve position in every CIP configuration — essential for IQ/OQ documentation.
 Import
The exported file can be edited and re-imported using the Import Equipment Modules from Excel functionality. This allows you to:
-
Modify valve states in configurations
-
Add or remove engineering items
-
Add or remove configurations
-
Create entirely new equipment modules
